Thanks for the responses. i know how life can get in the way of the fun stuff. As far as your gyre's do you use just the straight flow setting or do you use the pulse setting ect.?

I use the pre set oceanic gyer mode. It goes through a 24hr routine of high low medium speeds and forward and reverse flows. I had a first gen gyer and loved it but the second gen with the controller blows it away!
