Never heard of a curly q anemone. This thing was a little bigger than a aptasia. I have Berghia Nudibranchs and the immediately set out to eat it so I assume it's a pest. Came in on a shipment of cheto I ordered from gulf coast ecosystems.Tentacles look a lot like a curly q nem
I believe my nudi took care of it.. it's in my refugium.. actually there are 2 that I saw last night.. I'm keeping a eye out for more..I'd say with some certainty it is an aiptasia... perhaps a slightly different species to the norm. I've seen them all shades, some with striped tentacles some without... the answer is the same... nuke it!
Agreed!I have actually seen these for sale at some fish stores ( who is buying these??) , curly cue or not I would consider it a pest and get rid of it.
I have never seen one like that. Pretty. But no.. I haven't seen him today but I placed 7 Berghia almost on top of it so I assume he was lunch. LolDon't see them as much now as before I had the CBB, but some had striped tentacles like that and some didn't.
