It's offical with this thread! 260 gallon build begins!

Still plugging away as I am waiting on the cycle. I did get my sink installed an an RODI faucet on it. I figured it would come in handy.

I also got three 20 amp circuits pulled. Probably overkill but I had plenty of room in the panel. Some of the outlets are hard to reach so I put GFCI breakers in. It's all relative but talk about sticker shock on those bad boys. I also went ahead and bought a grounding probe.

I was going to install this pen loop off of my boiler to heat the tank but decided against it. Kind of glad I didn't as I am struggling to get my temps below 82 degrees. I had my skimmer pump and another smaller pump running in DT as I do t have powerheads yet. Not sure if I was getting g heat off of those 2 pumps but I unplugged them and installed a fan yesterday and I was down to 78 today. I do t have any lights yet and my basement is currently 72 degrees.

I filled the bottom of my refugium with leftover rock and also picked up a kessil. The water in the right chamber isn't cloudy I just didn't buff that area of the acrylic.

Any updates? I saw you mentioned you were going to build a pulley system for the lights.

I am currently working on an in-wall 265 and want to use some kind of pulley system to pull the lights out of the way when I do maintenance over the tank.

This is how mine turned out. I made a frame out of 1" aluminum angle iron, fastened on all 4 corners with cable. Ran it over head with a couple of pulleys and put 5 hooks on the wall for different heights.

It's pretty crude but works great.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
