Around 11 am (ny time) i walk into my lfs. As soon as i walked in, one of the worker said to me " we got a new shipment of sps last night." i said to myself .. " self " don't do it , don't go back there..buy your chemicals and just leave !!!
About 45 mins later i'm walking out of the store with a styrofoam box full of mini colonies. ( 6 to be exact. )
i know i can't be the only one that has done this. Anyone else besides me ?
I love this sick and twisted hobby !!!

Yep I am guilty I have walked in for buffer and walked out with $800 dollars in coral. HA lol
 
And I just got into sticks so we will see how I do with them.

Ha,ha,ha. This made me laugh so hard.

By the way, this addiction hits me every week I go to get saltwater.

Before going into the lfs, I tell myself what I need and to not look at corals, but the thing is, the area to get saltwater is at theback of the lfs. I can't help but look at all the beautiful frags and fish as I make my way to fill my 5 gallon container.

Just yesterday, I left with a African Midas Blenny and a dragon soul favia. Both of these were not on my list to buy.

I even try to stat away from Reef2Reef so I don't get tempted to buy any more corals.

Guess what? By chance/habit, I type Reef in my address bar and Reef2reef is the first one on my list. I click on Forums and see a new vendor. Well i ended up purchasing a sweet Sunset Fungia. Luckily I got a friend to purchase corals with me, so we get the Free Shipping.

And one last scenario. I was up last night browsing the Forums and found a fellow reefer selling nice frags. I somehow rationalize that I should purchase his frag so I can have a growout colony and one to frag.

The point I am at in my addiction is I keep telling myself I have no more room in my tank. You know its bad when you buy something and have to stash it like a squirrel at a buddy's house till I do the tank upgrade. I keep telling myself IT'S JUST A HOBBY!!

I am definitely addicted. Luckily for me, I never go to the LFS in my area even though I pass it everyday. I have never been impressed by what they carry. I order most of my stuff online and the FedEx and UPS drivers all know know me and my tank. I do have at least one order coming in this week. :)

i went to highschool with my fedex driver so he calls me to let me know when my packages will be at my house so my fish or corals never sit in there packages for hrs

there are times where my wife and kids had to sacrafice a dinner or two - lol lol ( i'm just kidding everyone ) i would never ever get to that point.
Family first !!!!
