Guys draining my freshwater tank as we speak getting ready for marine. How should I go about cleaning it before adding saltwater and rock sand etc

I would use RO water and white vinegar.

Yep, RO and white vinegar. I use a 50/50 mix when cleaning my PH's and stuff. I'd just do that.

The answer when asking "How do I clean XXX" on the marine side of the house is often Vinegar. Works great, doesn't harm anything.

I use just straight up white distilled vinegar. No water needed. The warmer you can get it, the better. Heat increases its acidic power, best for cleaning any and all deposits.

Vinegar is awesome for cleaning equipment and tanks. I buy it by the gallon.
