Well, I did some moving around with the leather, xenia & zoas... They seem to be happy, now. I moved them all to the bottom of the tank & they are doing SO much better-- the zoas are even opening up & showing me their pretty green colour! The nearly-gone xenia has now sprouted & began slightly pulsing again & the leather is getting its colour & texture back. I am SO happy!

My faith is now restored in my reefkeeping ability. Thanks to all of you for all of your help! : )

Reef keeping, at its very core, and in my experience, is a series of puzzles that need to be solved. These puzzles become increasing more complex, but less frequent, as you proceed in the hobby. Sometimes, the puzzles don't come with edge pieces. Sometimes, all the pieces are the same color. Sometimes, some of the pieces are missing, and you have to get them from Tomoko and H@rry. In the end, though, the challenges faced and overcame, is what makes this hobby so interesting.

That's one of the best descriptions I think I have heard of this hobby.
