Does salt creep affect salinity? I mean, I suppose it has to, right? Salt creep everywhere means less in the tank. So, I guess my question is really two fold. Is it enough to lower your salinity? AND, Does knocking it off back into the water hurt anything?

Yes it does effect your salinity and Watch how you put it back in the tank. I have seen and heard of many corals dying after salt creep fell on them before dissolving. Use a damp rag to collect salt creep and remove it. You want to keep up with salt creep as I have read many stories of people getting socked from salt creep getting into sockets and around plugs. Salt creep can conduct electricity.

I don't really have much in the display, but the sump has a fair share. So, if you constantly clean it off, isn't the salinity of the system gradually lowering?
