Ive been infected with montipora nudibranch

So some how my systems have gotten infected with montipora nudibranchs and I'm currently battling them but things have began looking good after about a week now of treating and hunting. It all started with me noticing dead patches on my montiporas and then on my anacroporas. Once my newly ordered TNT anacropora started getting patches,I started dipping and looking. Well there they were.i dipped all my montis,anacropora and found about 6-10 of them all really tiny like mm and bodies as small as a lead insert in a lead pencil. So I started fragging pieces to save in hopes they dont return and these grow back. Well I found a couple more again. I did throw out the main bases of the original frags to weed out babies just incase. Now come 3 days later and still hunting nightly and I haven't seen any. Takes about 96hrs for babies to hatch. Ill keep checking. Also flatworm exit doesn't kill them. Id say its 50/50 ,usually they're just paralyzed. So I switched to pig dewormer and have been using it with iodine as a dip,use alot of flushing with a pipette to get them out of any crevices. They are night stalker. Im going to give it a couple more days and if I do find any,im going to QT all my months and anacroporas. Yes there are some fish that will eat them,but they're night stalkers so it unlikely those fish will get them. I do have a longnose butterfly and I'm sure its been helping because I haven't found any. Hopefully I'm done. Will update later. Here a photo of 2 nights ago

Dip and exit won’t kill them and the challenge you face will be eggs which are really tiny and need to be scraped off and netted then discarded
Siphon them with 3/8” or 1/4” tubing as you see them

If they are monti eating nudibranch once there are no montipora in the system they will starve and die . But at the cost of every montipora frag you ever bought

if you have another tank or qt to keep any remaining montipora in for the dt to kill
Off what’s in there or still to hatch from egg . Treat the remaining montipora in the qt
What to treat it with I will let others comment

Can you put all your montis and anacrapora on a frag rack, wire brush the encrusted parts off the rock and continually dip and clean all frags and frag rack it makes it a lot easier if possible?
I’ve done this for both monti eating nudis and aefw in the same tank and been successful

Wrasses will eat them also - my six line for sure had an appetite for them because I "never" had the pest in my tank until a few weeks after I rehomed the wrasse.

I’ve done this for both monti eating nudis and aefw in the same tank and been successful

Never use a wire brush on anything that goes in the tank, especially in the tank itself.

Guilty as charged, many times…totally understand where you’re coming from.
What do you use to get encrusters off of rock manually, I know how to do it with kalk paste, aptasia x, ect….

It depends but a good scraping and vacuum out the bits works good, or cover it for a few days, or just brush it every day with a tooth brush, nothing likes being pestered every day it wont continue to grow, and of course kalk paste works good in a thick paste with no water flow let it sit for a few seconds then suck it out. But the ultimate best way is never ever introducing encrusting montipora!! Aka coral lava

Yea I fragged them to make sure i have no eggs . Also they are on racks that I continue to inspect

I have a 6line,long nose butterfly, 2 dwarf angels. Problem with fish is they sleep when nudibranchs come out.

Lol yea im kinda feeling that way because it was supposed to be a acro tank but I added these in so here I am. Lol montiporas are beautiful to.

Yea ive used a wire brush in that past. NEVER AGAIN. Unless you want metal bristles in the tank lol im already running gfo.

Their diet is restricted to one specific thing .
Removing the food source will eradicate them from the system
