I went ahead and found it myself. Looks like you've made quite an impression on many boards.

I wasn't familiar with the "beaslbob method" but a friend of mine did something similar on a totally enclosed pico reef. He used the macroalgae as nutrient export and oxygenation. He did do water changes though.
