Good morning to all! Well, many of you may remember Fragmatic, Randy Kimball. We was my was, and as many of you know we lost him tragically on April 1st this year. He had a sudden massive heart attack, with no warning signs (that he made us aware of). He had build a tremendous 90 gallon reef tank. I've had the honor of taking over, fulfilling a long dream to own a reef tank, although not the way I'd dreamed it. We had many fresh water tanks over the years, but never saltwater.
I'm proud to say the tank is doing fantastic. I built my own custom cabinet for it, and finally move it the weekend of July 13th, major job!
I did add 30 lbs of live rock and a velvet damsel. Other than that, I've set it up with a little different aquascape...and managed to keep everything healthy and happy.
I am enjoying keeping his legacy alive, in this form at least.
Here is a pics of dad and his tank

New to the site so I didnt know him, But Sorry to hear that. This is a Beauty though!! You guys did some Nice Work!! Hope you keep coming with updates on how everythings going!!

Oops, didnt mean to post that last sideways pic, It shows my electrical mess! LOL
But is does also show the electrical outlets that are attached to my switch panel, I control pumps, lights and power heads with that mess.
I also plan to add a 28 gallon cube for a display refug, this will be in the end of the cabinet right of the main tank. I'll remove the cabinet door to display that.

I'm so glad to see you back on here. I thought of you the other day and wondered if you were still keeping your dad's tank going. It's looking great! Love the stand you made!

Thank you Connie, and thanks for reaching out after my dads passing. We all miss him, but he lives on in us all. Plus, We know we'll see him again one day!
Imagine what all he is learning about reefing now, with the Great Creator himself!!

Good to see its passed along
Sorry about ur father.
I would hope if I have kids that they will want to keep my reef going.

Welcome!! The tank is looking great!! :)

Mefresh, thanks. Kids, yes mine are 18, 16, and 10. My 10 yr old daughter is showing lots of interest, she's already got a 15 gallon fresh water tank, and feeds my 50 gallon fresh water tank.
