I've been struggling to find a power supply that's individually switched. I finally see one where I can see the model number. Thank you. After googling it I see that a lot of people are using these.

I got these off of Amazon. But last time I had to get one I just went to a guitar center (not sure if you have those where you live). The company is All American DJ

Just a little update as my tank is cycling. I added the Dr. Tim’s One and Only to give it a try. Especially since I’m using all Marcos Rock and no live rock pretty much. I added last Tues. By Thurs my ammonia reading was 2ppm. As of last night it was at .5 so it seems to be doing something. Last night I added some live Rock rubble in my refugium and a handful of chaeto to hopefully get some pods going down there.. We will see how it goes. I was thinking it would happen faster but because of the dry rock I’m thinking it’s going to take longer.. On top of that the first night I only dosed 1 drop per gallon. But they changed there ammonia formula to where you need to dose 4 drops per gallon. So the 2nd night I dosed that right amount.. Maybe that slowed it down as well..

Tomorrow will be a week of cycling. As of last night my ammonia was 1ppm and Nitrite was at 4ppm [emoji44]

Last night my ammonia was at zero and nitrites were at 2. I did a 2nd does of the ammonia so I will see where I’m at tonight.. I may be ready for fish by the weekend [emoji106]

Little update on my equipment cabinet. Long story short the other day I noticed my top off hasn’t been topping off. Well it turns out my 1.5 year old daughter is just the right height to stretch and able to reach my power strips and turned it off [emoji849].. I know that I would have to come up with something to be able to keep her out of it but I also wanted to make sure I can see what’s on and off just walking by at a glance. So I went to lowes and came up with a plan. I found a small acrylic sheet. Then saw that window screen frame had the grove to fit the acrylic sheet perfectly. So I picked that up as well.

Made a couple of cuts, and got my wife’s hot glue gun to glue the frame with in the cabinet. Turned out like this

I think this will keep those little hands out! [emoji23]

Awesome build so far! Great use with the kitchen cart. Quick question, what are the dimensions of the lower section? Wondering if a 5g tank would fit there. I'm limited on space with my little tank and this cart might be the answer. Thanks

Hey there fellow Orlando citizen! Your tank setup looks great and I'm interested in seeing your progress since you basically have the same lighting setup as mine. That CO-1 skimmer is a beast too, I have one on my tank and it works fantastic. Good luck with your progress.

Speaking of Top Shelf I just left from there (needed bulbs and seaweed sheets). They always treat me well and sometimes let me pick out frags from their farm room. I plan on starting a build thread soon; I just need some time to sit down and write it up and organize it. This is my introduction page which has a FTS and a little write up.

Still cycling over here... ammonia hit zero 3 days ago or so. Nitrite still hanging around 3-4ish area.. [emoji849] I was hoping to be able to get a pair of clowns this weekend.. maybe next weekend..

So the good news is my tank is cycled! So I picked up these guys. Premium onyx Picasso’s and a fire fish. Everyone is eating and seems very happy and swimming around. I didn’t buy the clowns as a pair but they seem to have taken to each other from the get go and have not seen any aggression. They just hang out together which is a relief.. they are very small guys so that could change but I hope not..

Soooo i swore I wouldn’t get any nems for this tank. But for some reason i started to want a cool bubble tip for the clowns.. My plan is to only have acros on the rock structure and then the sand bed was free game for anything I might run across that I have to have that is not sps. Gold torch, Scolly, acans, zoas, etc..
Would you guys advise not to have a bubble tip with this kind of set up for fear of stinging.. What I would hate is if the bubble decided to just up and pick a spot on the rock and ruin my acro plans.. [emoji849]
