Anyone running these was thinking about getting the rw8 for my 55 gal cube 30x25x18 will one be enough or two should be good? Right now I’m running two koralia nanos that are giving to me 240gph a piece it’s just not enough flow In my opinion any advice would be appreciated

The RW8 is decently strong and not real big physically. Pointed at surface they reached the other side of my tank(60 inch tank). Pointed toward the middle they go 3 feet or so. They push 2100gph at max. I think they will be fine.

Thank you so what’s the difference between the ow series and the series anyone know?

Not really sure what the difference is other than the obvious physical size and shape.
I am currently using a single ow25 on one end of my 3’ tank and the return line on the other. Seems to be moving plenty of water on the random else setting.

Awesome thanks for the input probably gonna try one ow25 and see how that works for now

Found this from another post.

From reviews the OW changed three things:
1. Instead of 2 magnetic dipoles in the rotor they have now 4.
2. The traditional W1 mode works as usual but now never really stop spinning .
3. No electronic components in the rotor, moved to the controller.

It’s a weird 55 cube that was given to me it’s not 4 foot it’s 30 inch long 25 high pretty cool tank not fun when reaching to the bottom of the tank though

After doing some research and everyone’s input probably gonna start with the one ow 25 and see how that goes prob face it from one side of the tank

I did miss the length measurement in your first post
Even so I would use 2 powerheads.
I see that you are picking a stronger one than the rw 8 you originally mentioned.

I still like the idea of 2 smaller ones.

I use 2 Tunze 6055's in my 50 gallon tank. It's 30" x 20" x 20".
Gives lots of chaotic flow.

I do like the measurements.

So youre thinking two rw8 or two rw4?
I missed this.
I would go with 2 RW-8's on your tank.
You would be able to create more of a random flow pattern.
Helps keep detritus from settling.
