Jabeo dcp whine

So i just got the jabeo dcp 2500 to replace my other loud pump. As soon as i turned it on it whines turned up or down. Any suggestions? I even put it under the silicone mat i was using. I read sone people say it goes away and some dont

Once pumps build up a slime layer, it sort of lubricates and insulates things so noise goes down. Just depends on the pump.

It might settle down with some break in. Don't expect it, though... these are not sold as "quiet" pumps.

Whine is very common with DC pumps. It rather triggers me. You will even get it on some higher end DC pumps. Would recommend switching to a Sicce if you don’t like that whine.

Askoll block pumps are quiet if you limit the vibration. These would be your Laguna or Fluval type of pumps. There are some other European brands too.

Ok so new probably i noticed last night my tank wasnt running. The new pump was on for most of the night. But you could hear it revving up and down and would push alittle bit of water then nothing. I noticed i was getting a er05 code which means abnormal working voltage. I tried other outlets and nothing worked. Any ideas

That’s the controller likely failing.

I had that issue before with the DCPs. Their controller is junk
