Jabeo SLW-20 Night Sensor

Can someone who owns a SLW-10 or 20 explain the night mode? I am not sure how it works and the manual isn’t detailed.
From my observations the sensor doesn’t really work?
If I engage ‘night mode’, night light turns on, motor slows down. Regardless of the amount of light on the sensor.
If ’night mode’ is not turned on, lights or no lights on the sensor makes no difference and the motor never slows down.
What am I missing ?

Possibly a bad sensor (circuit closed fault)

Second the possible bad sensor. The night mode does work, it just needs a direct source to see light go on/off.

I usually dont bother with it but it was cool to see it worked when it did.

Thanks. So the night mode button is to enable the sensor or to turn on night mode manually? Is it supposed to activate right away or is there a delay? And finally if there are a master/slave do both sensors needs to be dark?

All night mode does is enable the sensor to see a light source. No light on the sensor, it goes into night mode. Usually a 5-10min delay iirc. Each pump controller responds on its own for night mode.

If you just bought it, youd do better to swap it out for a wifi version of the same so you can just program the pump to slow down overnight or whatever you want to do. That night mode is finicky at best.
