I just thought I would do a first impression of the two Jabeo Wp25's I just added to my tank.

I tried to get in on the order on another forum but I never got reply's to my emails. So I found similar price on Ebay with free shipping and went with it.

The first thing I noticed after opening the box, is that they are smaller than my Hydors, So they take up less real estate in my tank. I have a 54 gallon corner bow front and these tanks are traditionally difficult to light and add wave makers.

I installed the power heads and connected the controllers, which is one area they have made improvements on these pumps. My only request is that they would add a master slave feature.

I set the pumps on the 50 % power setting on W1. They were placed on opposite sides pointing at the middle to make the flow more turbulent.

WOW are these things strong, Im new to the hobby so I dont have a lot to compare them to, but on higher setting I believe they would push water out of the tank.

They are also very quiet. The only time I can hear them is with my glass top open and my canopy open, and then I struggle to hear them.

I have had a problem with one of the units not wanting to spin on start-up, a gentle tap and it works. I contacted my seller on ebay, they are sending another pump with free return shipping for the defective pump.

The night mode seems a little strong for my tank, and it would be nice to have my main pump, and these wp25 on a controller so that feeding mode could be controlled by one button. But for now they will fit my needs.

So at this point I would say I'm very satisfied with these at a fraction of the price for what the competition sells. Time will tell if they will hold up.

These things are GREAT, I run 2 on a 5 ft 125 gallon tank , What I did to fix the nightmode issue was simply plug one of the pumps into a timer and it shuts off for me so only one runs at night in night mode. works great

With it on the timer, it holds the settings if its unplugged? I was not sure if it would, and I have to say I am really shocked at how strong the pumps are. I could really use half the power or less.

Good to know I'm waiting for my 25 to come in. I'm putting it on a 60 long hopefully it's just the right amount of flow

mine has always stored the last mode it was in.

Sweet i gotta try it ive been running one on my 90 for about 3 months now and love it i never tried it on a timer though i bought 2 for when i setup my 60x18x25 3/4 and onky got one wet so far both would be eay too much due to me running a 1" scwd on the 90gal

I have 2 in my 180g DT and I run them 8 hours each with a 2 hour over lap, so it's kind of like tidal flow. I doubt the corals could give a rat's butt, but I think it's cool!

I have been running them for a couple weeks now. I wished they used a built in light timer instead of a light sensor. I had to put the utility light under my tank on a timer in order to make it work because its in a dark corner of my living room and I didnt really want to mount it on a wall near the tank. The company sent the replacement for the defective wavemaker quickly. Everything is looking great, I really like these for the money.
