Got nice frag today. Is this normal? Looks like tissue is totally in? I had a small issue with glue and had to wash some off..... But hoping it will be OK.....

Honestly that doesn't look good. All you can do is leave it there and hope. I wouldn't give it much of a chance, but I hope I'm wrong!

I did unfortunately. Warm tap.... Would the flesh melt right off??? Didn't see anything come off in sink. Went right back into tank minute later

Yeah I panicked honestly. From what I see it looks like skeleton white. My dealer said it looked stressed. Do these corals go white like this???? Almost to the bone?

More than likely that rinse killed it but leave it in tank for a few days before trying to take it out

also please please please run carbon when you have a stressed/dying coral in your system
a LFS I visit had tons of problems when a anemone of some sort died in there system

When I rinsed it, nothing came off. Tissue did not come off... Where would the tissue have gone? Does it retract like other LPS? Honestly the coral looked like photo before I washed it. I am such an idiot [emoji26]

I assume the many stresses it experienced caused the coral to bleach rather than loose tissue

i have got superglue all over coral tissue many times... just put it in tank water to cool it and cure the glue...

its like when you get it on your skin.... trying to peel it off right away causes more harm... your body's natural oils in the skin will make it release.... same with coral... they will slime and the glue will release

OP used warm tap water on the coral frag - a common mistake that often proves fatal

I don't think leptos retract like you are referring to/asking about. At least I've never seen any of mine do that. Any time I've seen white skeleton, it is dead in that part. It may have some life to it some where and regrow from there though.

That doesn't look like bleaching to me, that look like exposed skeleton. I'd leave it just in case, but I'd keep my hopes low, it looks to already be dead.

"the coral looked like photo before I washed it."
I think at this point it might be wise to just ask your dealer for a store credit - the frag is more than likely dead - you should run carbon

Believe it or not, the Lepto has some color to it this am. It's under blues right now. So can't tell for sure.... It's tissue is starting to come to surface.... But not pure white skeleton like last night.... Will try and grab a photo soon.

This photo below barely shows what my eyes are seeing, but every minute my lights get brighter, I can see more and more color underneath the skeleton. Hard to see in photos because of blue.
