I have a frag that's prob 1inch square that's growing well but doesn't look healthy as I've seen others have it. edges are bit dark and has dark spots on it. I've been told low flow & light. I have moved it around but hasn't gotten better or worse. ... I've had water checked by local store and parameters are on point across the board. I have an aquaticlife fixture that has 2 (150w halides) & 4 t5. I keep t5 on 8 hrs and halides 4hrs. its been in shaded area for a little while now. ideas. ? thnx

I've found you can put that coral pretty much anywhere's and it will grow. I have mine under 6 T5's and have had it low/shaded and up high and never saw a difference in its condition (no bleaching, spots, etc). Only thing I noticed when it was partially shaded was that the side getting more light was growing much faster so that's when I started with high/higher light and always got good growth and no stress to the coral.

have mine in a shade and growth is slow...color is great....i plan on moving it to get more light, just afraid it will bleah or something but i am working in finding a good spot for it...i think they grow fast if u put it out and getting lots of light...

Spliff is dead on. I keep mine in med flow and med. light. It is an SPS so it will probably appreciate a little more flow than low flow. Once you find the right spot it will flourish.
