Jack-o-lantern Lepto changing colors. Please Advise....

Had this lepto for 9 months and was doing fab! Did zero changes to tank, parameters are stable. He's went from a bright orange turning kinda burgundy colored.

Is this a problem I can help resolve?

Actually mine has done that once for no known reason. It did slow the growth but it regained color and growth.
I have had mine for over 2 years.

Thanks! Here is another type of lepto. The rock was in my nano for 3 years prior to my 120. I put it in my 120 at startup and thought it was developing orange coralline.
However it grew from a spec to this in 2.5 years.

Sometimes corals do wierd things with their colors.
I had this jedi mind trick for 2+ years and it turned all dark green.
About 6 months ago it morphed back into its original color.

Update on lepto.. 2 weeks progression since the other pic I posted. Hoping it what y'all experienced and he's ok!

Wanted to report an update. The entire lepto changed to that burgundyish color and is now changing back to normal Thank God!!!! Strange but I'm happy

This is good news. I just got my Jack-O-lantern from the RTA sale yesterday. Glad to know not to freak out if it starts doing something similar.

Keep a close eye on any unfriendly corals nearby.. I had a galaxea coral that grew large enough for its sweepers to reach my jack o lantern lepto and it dang near killed it. I saw the same color changing happening. Removed the galaxea and the lepto recovered. Recently I found a new way to kill that lepto - too much light lol.

Sorry to necro an old post. I came here looking to see if anyone had something similar going on with theirs. Mine has been doing the same thing and I’m unsure of what could be causing it.

Im guessing it has something to do with light, stress, or being stung. It may be the zoo's response to either of those.

Do you have any disco mushrooms in your system. I had a big issue with coral stn, changing colors. They will release and float around stinging everything they come in contact with.
This is what im guessing caused mine to change color.

No disco mushrooms. I’m thinking it’s from lighting. It’s getting around 250-300 PAR which might be too much.
