Hasn't been looking good lately and looks like sweeper tentacles are coming off it or the flesh is coming off. This piece is pretty big and don't want to to loose it. All acro are looking good but not my Lps. Peramitures are all in check

7.7 I've had problems checking my red sea and just got a Hanna yesterday and seems I've really been at 6.5 and am slowly raising it to 8.5.

That'll do it. Give it time, hopefully it will recover for you. Make sure its not in the vicinity of another coral that's able to sting it.

that was your problem. that low alk will do that. Your lps are the firs to feel it. If you have challices, they will show it first by turning a bit white on the edges. Its a good indicator. Sounds like you have it in check now.

I have a doser I havnt set up since last year cause I wasn't able to figure out the alk with the red sea tester . I'll be able to dial in my settings. Thanks. My sps and chailce have been on a decline while my sticks I've been buying are all entrusting thanks I'll see where that goes

Um.... a Hollywood stunner ,lol . It was like 4inches away and that might be it. I've been looking at the sweepers and didn't seem to get close. I know they can reach real far. I moved it further away

I'd look at Chem warfare. Esp with new maricultured(wild or ocen grown) corals.
