JACKPOT! My 75gal build.

I emailed them asking if the tank would clean up nicely - and some details about the stand/canopy as they're described as 'custom'.
Vinegar bath does wonders. Best think is to go check for scratches...the wood work is easy to fix

It's a glass tank - so hopefully not scratched. Acrylic makes me cringe for a tank.

If they reply I'll drive the truck down and give it a look it's about a 2 hour drive [but I have friends down there, so no big deal].

Nice, good luck and let me know how it goes

So... this 90 not 75 gal tank is full.

I put a brine shrimp cube and piece of live rock from current tank it it. Will tgis help begin cycle

So small update.

My skimmer is dying in my existing 30gal tank so im considering a tank transfer atempt...adding my dual 250w halides to the 4 48inch vho it came with.

My main concern is my acros. The tank is at about a month and cycling is finishing up. Diatoms are forming.

This transfer means i need to transfer as much existing matured rock as possible.

So tank tranfered successfully last week, added rock and all inhabitants.

Battling ich brought in on a tang, will be setting up a hospital tank soon for all the fish.

The corals seem to be growing good under vhos and halide. I am awaiting a bulb for the other ballast but currently a single 250 over the sps.

Pic update

Nice score, as I said on the other thread very clean. Super glue your egg create to a mag float and you will have a movable frag rack;)

Well time to update. The sailfin you brought ich did not make it to treatment, which is sad, i tried to manage it untill I had the proper resources. This was my own doing however.

On a positive note i have finally removed my acro and birdsnest frags from the plugs and glued them to the rock work. Accidently fragged a few trying to break em of so i have 2 new acro frags lol.

Everyone seems happy and the 90 is coming along great, however in 2 years sonce i have restarted this hobby the first and only loss of one fish isnt great but i should consider myself lucky as it could be much worse. I thank the r2r community for this. Your help has been invaluable

The corals are looking good.

Camera cover on my phone is busted and camera lens is dirty. Must try to get better pics lol
I swear, I am joining a camera club this month to take better pictures:rolleyes::D. The coral still look good.

So update, pretty sure this tanks growing far to many pest algae. But may of the coral seem ok with it.

dinos possible?

Also after the velvet outbreak im in the dog house with two survivors whom have seemed to build an immunity. My LFS gave me a small ocellaris to replace the dead one. Im monitoring him closley and am ready to remove and treat as neccessary. But I am going to try this the @Paul B way and feed the fish and treat them as approptiatley as possible. Consider it an experiment. Several days in fish has paired with my existing clown and seems happy, as well as eating well 4 times per day. I fear the day will come, fiven fish disease and possible dino outbreak that this tank may become a total teardown and rebuild. I hope this is however avoided

So today I found a 75 gal rr aquarium on craigslist. 100bucks! Guy needed it gone asap. So I snagged it. Cleaned it. It did come with a massive damsel and a 5inch long tomatoe clown which will be going tonthe fish store on trafe this weekend. Untill then they reside in a 10 gallon.

So for a hundred bucks, I got tons of stuff. Tank, stand, vho lighting, which I will be switching out for my halides.

Dual 250w halides would cover this correct?

The skimmer and uv sterilizer I have yet to identify. I need to clean them up. A hydor power head and various pumps.. so for now heres a pic. Lots of work to be done. Starting with a new hood.

Oh and thanks to R2R at Rap in orlando I have some awesome rock to use!

Man ur lucky. I just drilled my 75 but I like that i can decide what overflow I want. Thinkn of eshopps. 100$ for lighting and all. That's litterally a steal. Man I'm bumbed and should doncraigslist lookn but alive learned from 2nd hand is there's a reason they don't want it and lucky if it's a $ thing or moving. Congrats. Won't need the led then lol

Lol i was picky! And the tank was in full operation when i bought it, so i was able to see no leaks and all that.

It was a total budget build. My halide system is a dual 250w that i bought from craigslist for 100bucks also that came with a oceanic 55g (my now turtle tank) and about 150lbs of rock!

Couldnt cheapnout on skimmer and rodi though lol

So a week later and the clown is alive and well. Tried a three day black for dinos to no avail.

Boooo dinos. I am looking into other ideas
