Hey Jelly,

I'm not in Jax currently, but I'm a native. They have a really great saltwater only store named "Bio Reef"... and hands down the best reef store I've been to so far. They have great customer service and more than knowledgeable on SPS and other corals. I know they keep in stock Reef Octopus' and I think Bubble Kings... They carry LED, MH, and T5 lighting as well... but they still stay on the T5 route on their displays. They are located on the East-"Southside" part of town.

Unfortunately, they were recently featured on Reefbuilders as getting broken into and the thieves stole $30k worth of stuff.

Let me know you if you need more info on the store. The owner is really nice... and an employee named Max is great to talk to about the science of things.

If your looking for t5's i'd look at TEK fixtures. They are simple, cheap and work well. I wish I would have known about them before I bought my current USA t5s

I love Bio Reef, both stores have nice livestock. Both are pretty decent on pricing. Bio-Reef has a much better selection. There are a few people in the Gainesville Reef Club that are pretty serious with the SPS. gainesvillereefclub.com Gainesville is just an hour and a half away. Our stores arent the best though. There are several in the Tampa area that are really nice. A couple in Orlando with World Wide Corals in the south part. Pretty pricey that one is though.

Welcome to the area and welcome to Reef2Reef

About 75 miles west in Lake City. Heading that way today to visit BioReef and check out Coral Logic.
