January meeting

Well it is that time again. With the frag swap in Nashville the 19th I guess we need to have the meeting the following weekend. I don't know about all of you but I would really like to have the meeting at someone's house so we can look at and talk about a tank! So who will be so kind as to volunteer?? I will host a meeting but it will be another couple months - with the new baby at my house things are a little hectic!! Also I am trying to finish a new canopy for my 58 and would like to get it finished before hosting. So come on folks - don't be shy. We are not that bad of a group! We clean up after ourselves and most of us are house broken!!:hammer:

Lets all try to work together on getting this club rolling again.

Ive already got a tank lined up for the january meeting, just finalizing the date. The tank is 300+ gallons and has a total water volume over around 500 gallons. should be a nice reef to see. I will work on finalizing the date and let eveyone know. Hope everyone can make it

Ok, here is the plan.
the date for the meeting is January 26th. We will be going to see a large reef tank in the hixson area. Right now the plan is for the club to purchase pizza, and everyone coming can volunteer to bring drinks, chips and deserts. So post here if you can come, how many people will be coming with you and what you can bring.
I will double check with patrick but there are several issues that will be discussed at this meeting. like future plans for activities, our annual frag swap, and DUES!!!
Im not for sure when the reeftopia order will be placed but maybe it would work out to plan the order to be delivered the day of the meeting for people to get there snails? If you are wanting to get in on a great deal on snails now is the time. these orders probly wont get done again for another year.

Thanks Bryan for getting us a new tank to look at!!! I can either help with the cost of the pizza or will bring a dessert, whichever is more needed. There is some club business that needs to be discussed as Bryan stated so please everyone please try and make the meeting. It would be great to have a nice turn out since this is a non-member opening their house to us for the meeting. Let us know as we get a little closer about the time. Very nice of you Brandon to offer to bring a frag for the host. Should be a great meeting.

Also we still need volunteers to bring more chips, deserts, and plates.
also If bringing drinks I have found it easier to bring cold canned drinks if possible ( easier cleanup, no bags of ice ) I will bring a cooler of drinks in ice if people just want to bring a 12 pack of cokes.
our host is writing out directions for me, so I will post them in the next couple days.

Cool Anthony - would be good to see you. I think the meeting is over in the hixson area. But I am sure Bryan will be along shortly to correct me if I am wrong!lol
