It's just not fair. I could do that for days straight. I would leave the water to eat for 10 minutes then go back in.
 
A tiny fraction of the cost here but then he has to get them home. Lots of shipping costs, flights, lodging, food, renting the equipment, drivers, divers. I doubt he making a killing but will probably profit a little maybe. However, just the break even that experience is priceless IMHO.

You forgot the big one, CITES permits! They are the killer.
 
Yea, shipping and clearance is expensive. CITIES permits are typically 3.00 per coral, broker fees and shipping is what makes coral so expensive! In reality, coral is cheap, getting it here to the USA is extremely expensive.
 
That's a great experience, every aquarist dream to get to pick your own corals out there in the coral farm can't wait to see what he brings here to the US.
