I am currently in the process of acclimating my tank to having my T5s on for 6 hours (in addition to my LEDs). I added an extra 15 minutes this week. I noticed that the smallest head yesterday lost its color so I moved the whole piece to a shaded area, today the second small mushroom has lost most of its color, but the big head still seems healthy and happy.

Any idea if this is from increasing the lighting or a disease? I haven’t seen any “bleaching” in the traditional sense or critters eating it. I did recently lose a colony of HG micromussa, so I am wondering if that may be related. Pic is Sunday versus today.

parameters:
Nitrate: 5
Phosphate: 0.03-0.06
Calcium 435
Alk: 7.5-7.8
Mg 1350
pH 7.9-8.1

Yes increasing lighting can Affect but your only extending by 15 min shouldn’t be a issue . shrooms like lower par and more blue light than white . Also mine like higher nitrates of 15-20 ppm . Keep a eye on them and try to keep everything as stable as you can . Shrooms love t5s blues
