I had a mushroom that grew like this. A better Pic of that particular growth would be helpful., but grats I think you have 2 jawbreaker now

A better picture would be helpful. But yeah its usually how baby starts. Little piece of foot will separate from mom. Looks like a fleshy blob at first. Will develop a mouth over a cpl weeks. Ive had some that will actually develop into shroom before seperating fully.

I've had this myself. Very cool to witness!

For sure. Something interesting with jawbreakers that I haven't noticed with other species of shrooms is under stress ive actually seen the mom pull that little piece of foot/half developed baby back in and pretty much absorb it back into foot. Had it happen a few times with one particular shroom now. Maybe its a defense mechanism and its sensing that its not a good time to propagate. Idk

Didn’t get a picture, but what I saw definitely was an aiptasia. Didn’t see it today though..little strange
Keep us posted super curious! Do you have anything in the tank that eats aptasia? Im assuming not as you probably would've stated. Hey hope it evaporated into thin air (water?) but i know that's unlikely.
