Hi reef2reef! Here’s my situation. I have two small jawbreakers in my tank for about two years now and they have not grown or multiplied. Where do you guys keep your jawbreakers? High or low light? High or low flow? Currently mine are on the very bottom of my tank under an ATI powermodule.
thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I’ll post a picture once the white lights come on. Only the leds are on at the moment. The picture will be too blue.

I was just checking out @FreshSaltH2o 's jawbreakers in person yesterday and he had a ton of babies, so great advice! I don't have jawbreakers, but I have other discoma that split a lot in low light/flow. I have Yumas in higher light but still low flow. That seems to be the consensus for all shrooms.

Once I got the moms and added them they decided to walk away from each other leaving behind a trail of blobs and I’m still waiting to see what some of them do

I've grown about a dozen or so jawbreakers into 150+ in a little over a year. For them to look their best, low light, low flow, and some nutrients (nothing crazy, but you don't want a sterile tank). To get them to drop babies constantly I keep them in slightly higher light and much higher flow.

My theory is that they don't necessarily like the areas of higher light a d flow, so they start to walk in an attempt to find a spot deemed mote suitable. In doing so, they leave a trail of blobs which themselves turn into new jawbreakers.

That stated, I've grown them out with the intent of selling/trading them. I keep them in a large, DIY "mushroom box" so I can move then around whenever I want to. Which I should have mentioned... sometimes I will put a little bit of rock rubble on top of them, which will also cause them to move, and drop more babies.

Thanks for the chiming in everybody.
my jawbreakers are currently under an ATI powermodule. I don’t know what the exact par is but I think it’s pretty high. The mushrooms are at the very bottom of the tank and don’t get too much flow. There’s lots of flow in my tank but the mushrooms don’t get that direct flow. Could it be a nutrient issue?
