Over the past few months it seems there has been an influx of wild and or maricultured mushrooms have been making their rounds. While they are very nice looking shrooms should we be calling them "jawbreakers" or "eclectus" shrooms? And should they be demanding higher prices than most aquacultured jawbreakers? Also on this note is the name eclectus being used for a shroom that is just a nice looking wild or maricultured "jawbreaker" type shroom. If you're not familiar with the original eclectus shroom this is the article from when they first came around and a picture from said article:

Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts!

I really think that as the bounce mushroom frenzy has gone down, the mushroom mariculturer's are looking for the next big thing.....I am not sure what they are doing to "find" these new mushrooms though (I have my suspicions).....I have been seeing a few on this site demanding 1400.00 or more.....seems a bit crazy to me, but the bounce mushrooms were going for more than that originally....

I think there needs to be a new name for these as they really don't fit the description of a jawbreaker nor an eclectus....I would suggest something new IMO.

I'm curious as well. The article says 3 rocks went to importers in North America and 1 to Europe, yet there lots of online vendors selling these mushrooms under the name "eclectus"... my only assumption is they get wild Shrooms and slap that name onto it to receive the high dollar amount that comes with those Shrooms. It's unfortunate for hobbyists. They should, at minimum, rename the new batches coming in. I mean look at all the rainbow chalices. There was only so many CB rainbow crushs or jellybean chalices for example, yet people are importing wild rainbow colonies, fragging them, and slapping a well-known name on it to maximize profit. Why not just sell it as a rainbow chalice instead of a name that it didn't originate from.

All New one coming in 2.0 not eclectus!!

You guys don't have a clue on what's going on with these mushrooms but I'll let you in on a little secret, some of these mushrooms have been genetically designed in a lab to make these wild beautiful colors then thrown on the market, I know this because I've seen it done, will not mention any names or Businesses but most of you are so willing to pay [emoji383] without doing any real research it makes it easy for these people to take money from your pockets
