Had to move from San Diego to Austin and didn’t want to part with my expensive peices, well the move didn’t go exactly as planned and now after moving everything to the tank my Jawbreaker mother who already had green on her isn’t looking to hot from the move. Had a bunch of brown strings coming from her, and now is shriveled up, guts showing and looks like there is holes and tears in the flesh, but doesn’t look like she is really melting. I cut off a small peice of her extended foot just in case. Should I mark this one a goner? I put her in low light and flow. euphilya, zoas and goniopora seem to be doing much better than the shrooms.

That's not a goner. Give it time and keep doing what your doing. Some jawbreakers can be super picky and take forever to re acclimate.

Is it normal for the flesh to just fall off like that though?
Oh man I'm sorry I was looking at wrong picture. Keep an eye on it. The guts don't scare me but falling apart kind of does. If she's melting thats a tough call. Sorry about bad advice here.

Can you get a better more clear close up pic?

Thats a much better picture. Hard for me to say goner but not looking to great. Dont toss it you would be surprised how resilient shrooms can be. Ive had a shroom totally bleach and fall apart but somehow made it.

Yeah that’s kinda what I was expecting to hear, hopefully she pulls through, maybe that cutting on the foot will make it too. Next time I’ll just sell everything before moving . Thank you for the help!

Update: Recovering quite nicely, was completely closed for a few weeks but open and healed all the tear’s in the flesh, lost a little bit of size but overall happy with the survival.
