Jawbreaker mushroom baby question

I just noticed that my jawbreaker spawned three new babies. My question is, do the babies have the bright coloring right away because these are very dull looking at the moment.

No they don't it takes some time, Have they moved from underneath the mother polyp yet? Normally mine take about a month to color up (orange) then its the luck of the draw when others come in.'

Yes. All three have moved out from the mother and are all in the open on the rock.

Bringing an old thread back to life.... I just noticed mine spawned recently. Found a baby roughly .5" away from mamma. Do they normal spawn multiples and im just not finding them? or is it only 1?

They are not spawning, they are breaking off pieces of their foot that turn into new shrooms.

From my experience only very old and very colored jawbreakers will drop babies that have red or green in them from the start.
