jawbreaker mushroom question

have a jawbreaker mushroom that is starting to grow over the plug hes on, will it continue to grow over sand or do i need to move it to a rock or larger plug?

It will continue to grow out over the sand. But for propagating purposes its easier to set next to other frag plugs or reef rubble. For esthetics i would mount to a rock.

My mushrooms are on the rocks. The ones that get slower flow seem to split more often than the ones getting blasted. The blasted ones seem to grow bigger.

Time to move it to the rock! I had a single ricordea that turned into 40+ in as little as 3 years.
