Ok so I’m sure there is something somewhere about about this but I can’t find it. What makes a jawbreaker mushroom? I was told it’s the color by a few people and I have been it is the multiple colors on a mushroom.

What is the real reason?

Yea I get that but what makes it a jawbreaker? Is it just the breed or is it the colors that make it a jawbreaker?

Thank you for your input I was pretty sure it was a jawbreaker but I am not smart enough to understand why.

They’re types of discosoma mushrooms. They have a certain rough texture. Most types develop more than 1 color as they age but recently I have seen some vendors call some solid colored ones as types of jawbreakers. Pics of a couple of mine below.

Jawbreakers usually start off mostly orange with slight red on some. As they age they’ll gain red and green eventually. Some get purple after a long time :). There’s other varieties (kryptonite, candy crush, andres, eclectus, Deadpool) that are also called jawbreakers. The ones above are tye dye jawbreakers.

See that is my question though is it the color that makes them jawbreakers or is it a specific breed. From what I gather the answer is yes to both.
