Has anyone ever seen this kind of pink eye before? It was fine this afternoon and has been in the tank for a few months now. The damage near the gills is recent as well, probably from him moving his burrow. The only fish that gets remotely close to him is my potters angel but I've never seen them fight. He's still eating like a pig though so it doesn't seem stressed. Any ideas?

I've never seen this... but great pics! Very interesting!

Maybe brushed against a coral. Have you notice any different swimming patterns.

Cant tell as usually the only time it leaves the comfort of its burrow is to grab food, other than that it just sits halfway in its spot everyday. Only corals near him are zoanthids but it could have hit its eye against the rocks that overhang his burrow.

Looks like a bump or bruise to me. Or possibly a coral sting. If it starts to look like "popeye", dose Epsom salt at 1 tablespoon per 5 gals to help relieve the swelling.
