Jawfish seems sick

yellow headed jawfish seems sick. I’ve had him for about a year. He is still eating but he just seems off. He looks a bit bloated to me. Behavior is off as well. He’s usually full of personality upright in the water column outside of his cave. This morning I found him on the sand in the front corner of the tank, but he returned to his cave when the lights came on. Any ideas? Water parameters are normal and stable.

Aww poor little baby, I hope he gets better. If he is bloated maybe don’t feed him for 2 or 3 days? I do know that they can get a little fat and it’s normal to look “bloated” If water parameters are okay, just keep an eye on him. Sorry I cannot be more helpful. Im sure someone here will have a better opinion. Keep us updated.

That could possibly be constipation that feeding a boiled and peeled pea or dosing epsom salt into the water column could help but let's get some advice from @ngoodermuth @HotRocks @4FordFamily and @Big G

I agree with this. Hopefully @Big G is correct and it’s only eggs
