chemi pure is taking out phos as quick as you add. pull it.

No skimmer at the moment , only feed the the fish once a day, I honestly believe when I dosed vibrant it’s completely messed up the tanks chemistry. I’ll pull the chemi clean tonight. And do a few more feedings of reef roids. My corals are “surviving” but barely. They are getting covered by this Dino

Just did another water test and my nitrates are still koolaid color and 0 phosphates. Even after feeding reef roids 2 days in a row I know it’s gonna take a while but the bacteria is taunting me disappearing at night and coming back in the AM

Cool but be careful with that stuff, I feed it about once every 2 weeks because of how potent it is.

Oh I know before the tank chemistry went crazy I would feed just a bit for the week. It’s crazy strong it is

are you state side ?? any way to get your hands on algae,chunk of hair,green nori could work too,
soak in fresh ro water, let dry and die ,add to chamber in a sack/container ,so can be removed if needed.and won't get spread around. never done it ,but sounds like a phosphate machine to me??

I have green nori ! I can definitely do that I’ll try it I’m gonna be in Atlantic City next week so I’ll leave it in for a week.

I have no phosphates can I safely increase phosphates with reef roids ?

Adding roids daily to my tank did nothing for PO4!! Added for 2 weeks at a modest amount. All I got in return was cyano and higher nitrates! Neophos is a good product to add for PO4.

Ooo okay I do have a bottle of neophos but I wanted to try more nature ways before dosing that stuff

I hear that! I was on the fence about adding chemicals to my tank too. I thought algae would just grow like crazy! Surprisingly, it didn’t.

All I can say is my tank is looking better since I’ve been adding phosphate. Dino are mostly gone and coral health has improved!

Awesome ! I’ll try that out too I just gotta figure out the right dosage for my 20 gallon

I'm really interested to see if this actually works. Essentially going to make a reverse macro fuge. Hoping the algea breaks down and releases this phosphates back into the water. Who woulda thunk.

Just so happens that I also have a 20 gallon and I add 5ML of neophos a day.

You have 2 Clownfish? What do you feed? Some foods are very low in phosphate.

I feed omega one pellets and yes just 2 clowns and my wife added the submarine she wanted to feel included in the fish world haha I’m glad you like it !

You’re moving too fast. Every change has a consequence in your tanks balance. Bacteria take over rapidly when they don’t have competition. If I was going to suggest one thing to help balance a tank it’s adding in live phytoplankton.

agree slow down, "put down the bottle" lol
even a piece of spinach ,like we talked algae, will do the trick..
few days let wither then remove .
watch trates ,should only add phos..in theory.
