I see bits of cyano on the sand …. And the glass gets dirty daily ugh I’m still clueless how to make things happy

Cyano is always there. No matter how much we nuke it. I'm not even sure if it's possible to not have it dormant in our reefs. We can control it with lack of white light.

My white light are at 45% I might just buy an icp test and see what’s going on

20 lil + nitrates
.05 phos
just my opinion, as i run large dirty tanks
worth a try ...
nano's are tough imo.

But but there’s so much life in this nano hahah the dirty glass doesn’t bother you haha. I’m gonna get some baking soda tomorrow to raise alk some more I don’t wanna use kalk since it also reduces my phos

Reds will graze on cyano. I'm down to 1. But, cant any other hermits now. They are so crucial to my feeding habits.

Take some pics of the scarlet hermits too. There are times they get confused with other species. Unless you know for sure they are scarlet.

There not scarlet unfortunately I asked they had none in stock , I did get some red leg hermits for the mini and bumble snails for my Vermit snails I’m starting to see and 2 coral as well

Scarlets have been uncommon lately here. Wonder which season is best to hunt for them in stores?

Make sure if you have any cuc in there and you don't keep the lid on that you figure out a way to block off the chamber. I've flooded a few times because snails get over and block the return tubes

I do my maintenance by dumping the sump & turkey basting the display out and adding new water from my cade.
