Hi all,

I just got an used 24 gall, I've been doing some research and I think I'm going to do some modifications; starting with the light, since it has bulb lights that never has changed I'm thinking to put some LED lights instead, but not sure how good this one can be:

I've been seeing some at ebay around that price, but I don't have a clue how bad/good they are. I'll add another 6" LED bar for the 2nd chamber and adapt it for a small refugium.

I'm also wondering how to keep the fans working without the original lights.

I'm going to make a basket for the 1st chamber, I'm thinking to have some charcoal, purigen and ceramic media on it, any advice?

Thank you!

If you plan to do just fish you should be good but i doubt theres enough spectrum to grow corals very well, maybe soft corals but that's about it. look into ecoexotic leds. They make led strips that can be controllable and have amazing shimmer.
