@ Brian wea how much of an increase in evaporation have you noticed since removing the hood? I have the same tank thinking about upgrading the lighting.

evaporation isn't bad I have an ato system hooked to a 5 gal bucket. I fill the bucket once a week if that.. its not to bad.. im definently glad I took the hood off tho. just went to world wide corals and bought a bounce mushroom.. wasn't cheap but its what I wanted..
