i have a jbj 29g nanocube and would like to change the pumps.. it came with two pumps that together push around 300 gph.. I would like to use the wavemaker but that would cut the flow in half as only one pump would run at a time. so I would need to double the pump capacity?? what brand would be a good pump for this idea?

I have 2 Aqueon Quietflow 1200 adjustable pumps on mine. The stock pumps will move 266 GPH, these will pump 106-317. I have them pushing through 2 phosban 150 reactors, one with carbon one with GFO. Their dead quiet and plenty of pump for all my sps. I let the 2 Jaebo RW 4 handle the wave making...

I run a Maxi jet 1200 in the back of a biocube 29. This pump is rated at 295gph and runs continuously non stop. The only other pump in the system is a jebao nano pump that is programmed and runs random cycles inside the display.

If you decide to go the Maxijet route, don't actually get a new Maxijet. Get a Cobalt MJ1200. This is the original Maxijet. For some reason Maxijet decided to stop using this supplier (of a quality pump), over a new pump that has major quality issues.

My JBJ 29g came with 2 Accela pumps 296gph iirc? It is 6 years old but I think you have the same. If you do want to change them out I went with the Cobalt 1200's which are quite along with a ss shaft not ceramic.
