Ok...I be meaning to post pics of my tank so here it is. Its been up for bout 2 months. The corals was purchased at the frag swap and some internet order which I am displease with. This tank is going to be heavy in SPS, some LPS and a few softy. I only have two fishes, one is a Melanurus fairy wrasse and a Bengi cardinal. Im running a bio pellet and added a refugium to one of the compartment in the sump. I have 30 lbs of Fiji rocks and 20 lbs of Caribsea Ocean Oolite sand. The skimmer is a Tunze 9002. Im running a kalk reactor to auto top off. The skimmer will need to be upgraded later on. The Lights is a DIY Cree LEDs (love it). I am having so so much growth. For wave, Im running two JBJ ocean current (its ok but might switch to 10w es).

Thx... I cant either. Me and another person ordered some frags from a sponsor. None of want we order looks or resymbol anything like the description or pics. When the frags came in, there were some worm looking bugs in the bags with corals, so i called them and no one answered, that same day when i received the shipment. I called the very following day. One thing that has always been preached is to dip. Four corals lost their flesh that very next day and die. The frags also looked very freshly cut. My friend didnt dip his but placed in a qurrantine tank. His died the very next day too. I called them and was told to email the onwer. I did, he responsed back by saying dipping it to long can kill the coral, no @&%# sherlock. He also said their feather duster. No matter if their feather duster or not, the thing was crawling and i didnt wanted it in my tank. Basically they will not replaced them. I will never buy corals from them or recommend them to anyone, if they asked. If he would have replied to my email in a different way and responded back to my second email. I would mention the name but might get in trouble. I might later when i start drinking when i know no better.....kidding

Wow man! this tank is packed with much potential! congratz on a really cool setup.

thx you very much.....I was so debating on macro rocks or fiji. I wasnt happy with the lay-out and look of the fiji rocks, but am liking it now. I ordered 25 lbs online and bought three pieces equaling 5 lbs from LFS. I was at Aquatic Critter today and they have received more JBJ 30 rimless, but doesnt come with stand. Im gland I got the last one from the last batch.

I bought the tank from my LFS. The stand was free with the purchase of the tank. The stand is made by JBJ for the rimless.

Now, i have a better skimmer thanks to Dave. I bought his Aquamaxx HOB-1. The skimmer does an awesome job skimming, but a little loud. The loud noise is the air being suck in. Ok, next upgrade is current. Now looking for a mp10w.

You could make a silencer with a pill bottle or film container ( like the ones critter give away for ppl to bring water to test ).

i was looking into that but didnt know how big or small to make it. The skimmer came with one. I was thinking to also use sodalime. What do you guys think about using sodalime? I know it does help with ph swing, but not by much. Is it worth using? My ph swings like .20.

I guess the skimmer just needed a little break in. It is quite now.....loving it, skim like crazy. Thanks to darrell but hate to see him sale out, but the mp10w es is so so quite.

Also, does it have the overflow issue this guy mentions where he placed the extra plexi?

That does happen to the overflow when the filters is not clean. It will flow over the box bout once a month, so I clean my filter pads every 2 weeks. Its good to clean the pads out. I dont know why he had to make that plex-glass and place it in there. I love the tank. The price is good compare to the others. For Stand, I couldnt tell you, but LED, I can help. Just send me a message if you need help, mapn4reef. When I bought my tank, the stand was free.
