Hi there!

Just wanted post about my JBJ 45 Rimless tank. I had an issue with the initial setup of the tank where after 3 months of it doing well I came home to find all but one of my fish dead. Anyway, Here's the new set up. I currently only have 2 pairs of clowns, an anemone, a toadstool coral and some hermits and crabs. I've been keeping a watchful eye as I'm afraid t lose my fish again. My previous dwellers were between 1-3 years old, so needless to say it was sad to see them perish.

As my Hippo Tang was being very aggressive I had to take it to the LFS and get a store credit. She was attacking my corals and it was one of the main reasons I couldn't bring any corals in until she was gone. I've had her for 2 and a half years and it was sad to see her go, but I had to think about the future of my tank ans what I wanted to have in it.

I can use some help and advice on how to make sure my tank stays healthy. I want to eventually bring in more fish and corals, but I want to make sure my tank is in optimum conditions for the new additions.

Welcome to R2R. :-)

Are you breeding those clowns?

I am hoping to. When I got them they were bonded. I have to wait for them to mate and then go from there. I've always wanted to have breeding clowns, but for one reason or another something always happens when they're old enough and in the process of setting up their nest where something kills them.

I used to have a par that was given to me when they were barely 2 months old. I raised them for three years and they were mated and had a specific spot they were cleaning for a while. One day I went away for the day and when I came back home they were dead.

Thinking about getting this same tank for similar use (2 clowns, maybe a blenny or something, light bioload). Thoughts? Have you had any difficulties with it being an AIO system?

It wasn't difficult at all. I definitely like this tank compared to the others I've had before. You can add a sump to it if you want but I don't have one. I just have the standard stuff and it works great!

I haven't had problems with the tank. I actually like this one better than others I've had before It's so spacious too! My fish love it.
