ok soooo I have the JBJ ATO and it's driving me nuts. I am trying to set it up where it has sensor 1 as primary and 2nd sensor is backup ii case 1st fails. I have removed the pin and flipped the sensor.

Well the 2nd switch is doing nothing if the ato is running and i raise the 2nd float it will do nothing at all.

WHAT AM I MISSING????

sounds like a bad controller or bad float switches. do the lights toggle on and off.

not when they both connected. I tested both floats 1 and then 2 and each work but not together. and yes i have it on the correct setting mode B

sounds like a bad controller. i have used those many years ago and always hated them.

had to refresh my memory a little on how this unit works. i don’t believe it’s possible to do what you want.

There is a youtube video that shows how to set one as primary and the 2nd as a backup incase first float fails.

that would be mode b i believe. you want to make sure you have the sensors in the proper place. float 1 has to be max and float 2 has to be min.
