Im having trouble maintaining volume in my tank and sump. It seems like this ATO stops pumping after a few min and the orange pump light gets dim. Is the pump im using not strong enough ? Thanks for your help in advance .

How high above your pump is the discharge? They are rated to 30".

its about 18 to 20 inches high.

Maybe try raising the float a little. Remember once the float hit the bottom is when it will start pumping

i think its the pump that can't keep up with the water loss i'm trying to see what others think.

So I figured out the problem with the jbj ato, it has a safety shut of timmer on it after 3 min of pumping. All you need to do is open the ato and change the blue dial to the other side that's gives it 14 min to pump .
