JBJ Ato vs Tsunami AT1 Auto Top Off System

I am in the process of trying to make a decision on which ATO to get.
JBJ has two float switches, brackets and controller and the Tsunami does not float switches only a probe and an off- on box.

So who out there has experience with both units and what are your thoughts?

I only have experience with the jbj. It worked great for about 6 months and then failed. When it failed it dumped all of the ato reservoir in to the sump. This in turn pretty much nuked my tank while i was at work. I shortly went out and bought the tunze and it has worked for 4 years without a problem.

Unfortunately I cannot afford the Tunze.

I was in the same boat over the price but after adding up the price of the unit and dead coral/fish. I was better off spending money on a more reliable unit.

I orginially had a DIY ATO but the first float kept dieing on me. Luckily it was a dual float that I had so when the first failed I had the second one to shut off the pump but I only had a 5 gallon bucket for the ATO so not much would even get into my system plus I have a 75 gallon sump. But the little black box that had the wires welded in it died on me so now I am looking for a new unit that is reliable and will not break the bank. I like having the dual floats it is a huge piece of mind for me.
