So is this telling me that my reserve needs to be above my water tank level if that's the case then what's the fn point? I want an ATL that's going to be below my tank. And this thing is terrible because I have a rim on my tank. And I usually have my water filled right above the start of the bottom rim level

All this is saying is to install the tubing above the water line/sensor level so it does not ever get submerged and create a back siphon....which it will if you dont follow the indtructions

Install one of these above the water line where the arrow and highlighted section are and never worry about it again.
