jbj nanocube 28 skimmer options?

What options do I have for a skimmer for a jbj nanocube28?

I use an Aquamaxx HOB-1.

HOB-1 is pretty much the gold standard. It took over top spot from the AquaC Remora. Personally, I used an eShoppes PSK-75h and had great success.

You will be fine with just water changes. I shut my Hydor slim skim off for 2 weeks and none of my parameters went up. I leave it plugged in just because I already have it.

I'm looking to buy the eshoppes 75H in the next couple of weeks. Is there any mod needed to open and close the aquarium lid or is it plug and play....??

It's plug and play. The wedge pipe will interfere if you open the lid more than 30% or so, but it's totally manageable. I ran it for over a year on my JBJ 28.

So you cannot open the lid all the way....?

Not with the eShoppes 75h. But you can definitely open it enough to work in the tank, move rocks, clean glass, etc.
