After a couple weeks of consideration and research, I'm going to order it, unless one of you can talk me out of it. I have read a lot of horror stories about receiving them in the mail, damaged though. That worries me a bit. Unfortunately, I don't have a decent lfs in my area, let alone a JBJ dealer :(. I'll have a build thread once I get it, it's not going to go together quickly though. Meanwhile, why don't you all discuss your favorite vendors! (That offer JBJ products.

I decided to go with one of these myself. I ordered it from one of the vendors on this site that I won't mention but their named after the place you go when you are sick :) . Unfortunately while the tank looks like it came undamaged, I did receive it with damage to one of the media baskets, one of the pump hoses and damage to the stand top and one of the doors. Thankfully, I decided to go with upgraded media baskets from intank so damage to the stock basket was not a big deal. I contacted them on the rest of the damages and while they sent me out a replacement hose with connector, they also sent out the wrong door and lid but I'm sure they will get it taken care of quickly. The good news is that now that I have received the replacement hose, I could set up the tank which I will be doing tomorrow.

As far as favorite vendors, there are not many that I now of. I got upgraded media baskets from inTank and could not be happier. The baskets are beautifully made and a lot larger than the stock ones which will allow me to have a fuge in one of them and mechanical filtration on the other. I decided to go with the Innovative Marine Aquafuge led light to light the fuge as it was larger than the JBJ led fuge light and I got it at a great price. I also went with the Innovative Marine media reactor and I am thinking of going with a Tunze 9004 skimmer. I would definitely recommend looking into the Innovative marine Aqua gadget line as they have various products that can be used the the Jbj 45rl.

Hope the info helps.

Very nice! I hope set up went well. Mine is scheduled for delivery on Friday. Thanks for the info on the baskets, I do want to incorporate a fuge somehow, good to know about them.
What did you go with for a light? I'm considering the radion xr15w pro. It's not the cheapest, but I don't want to limit myself on coral down the road, I figure that should be plenty for whatever I decide, but I'm still a noob to the hobby, and lighting is my weak point right now.
