As far as bulb replacement, yes, that is the main concern for me right now with Halides. I don't want to invest $2k in Halide Pendants and not be able to get bulbs in a year or so. However, I spoke with Tullio and he said that Metal Halide isn't going anywhere and they have an entire warehouse of bulbs. If I do go the halide route then once I find the right bulb I want then my plan is to order at least 4-5 years' worth of bulbs. If bulbs are unavailable in 4-5 years then I will look at changing them out. If I get 4-5 years' worth out of the lights then it won't be bad. I just don't want to change everything out in a year.

I was looking at making a light frame to hold the pendants or black boxes if I go that route. Thank you for that info. Yes, it won't be bad to make it myself.

If you are not using LED for any of the heavy lifting, be prepped to manage excess heat.

I plan on floating the canopy with an open top to allow heat to escape. Will throw some fans in there if I go the halide route.

I’m more impressed with how clean it looks! Most the chaeto fuges I see are super mucky and gross looking.

It's not the size of the chaeto but how you use it.

I think it might be due to the flow. I have some good flow running through it. It does collect detritus on the bottom though.

ASD Milli - Starting to pick up speed on growth - I had to move this one due to it closing in on its neighbors. I moved it lower and it resulted in one of my tangs clipping it and breaking off a nice sized frag for the grow out system.

Yes, the Bonfire is awesome! The picture does it no justice. It is near the bottom of my rock work and it is hard to get a good picture of it. The pink tips on the aqua green body are very nice. Just hard for me to capture the pink accurately.
