I've got a 6095 and a gyre xf330 in my tank. I want to add one more pump to my 75.

Looking at the 6105 or a jebao SOW-15. Priced at $280 vs $80. I know the two shouldn't necessarily be compared, but will the jebao give me at least a few years of utility?

I'm interested in some point adding a hydros waveengine to connect my powerheads as well; I don't know if that changes anything.

My two jebao ow-10s are about 2 years old and 6 months old. Both run like they're new. My dcp2500 is about 6 months old and runs fine. The two rebadged jebao dcp3000 pumps I have are 2 years old and both run like brand new.

All are silent. I am very happy with all of them.

I have had a Jebao (6000, I think) running as my return pump in a 6 foot tank, powering manifolds as well, and it has been running 27/7 for a good 2 years or more. I have just bought 2 Jebao 8000’s for 2 more tanks that are being built; I figure at the price (a bit over $100) I can consider them ‘disposable’ if they really are as unreliable as people say (?)

I've purchased several SLW's on ebay with the Square Trade protection plan, a 2 year warranty for $5 extra. Might be worth looking into.

Perfect, looking great guys! Simply for cost effectiveness alone then I'm going to go for one of their powerheads. Tank is sitting around 40-44x turnover. Looking to push about 2k gph with this one on average which will put me to ~65x turnover. Seems like a very reasonable / cost saving way to boost some numbers.

Jeabos will last as long as you clean them for the most part. For the cost / lifespan they cannot be beat. I try and take mine apart and clean them approximately once a month. To be fair I also do this so they look good. I have one that is on it's last legs (has trouble restarting ect) but it has been in continuous operation 5+ years. I've probably had 3 or 4 other Jeabos die in that time, but all lasted 1-2+ years.

Tunzes will last about 10 years regardless. Eventually the propeller will wear down. If you keep them clean though 10-15 is very likely. I had the old style 6060? the big ones last probably 11 or 12 years but eventually it just looked beat up, still spun but replaced it. I have a 6061? that is 10 years old and going strong without issue. I have had a couple of nano streams die but they lasted around 10 years as well.

Besides quality which obviously tunze is known for and jeabo is not, all my tunzes were ac pumps which will usually last longer than dc.

Works for me. I placed an order for a SOW-15 jebao to go with my tunze and gyre!

I've got the jebao SOW15 into the tank! What a great and easy pump. I set my mode to sine and my power and let it go!

Does anybody know if the nadir of the sine function goes to 30% or is it lower than that? I believe the pump is capable of being controlled from 30% to 100% power. At a setting of +2 power, mine is likely flowing between 30 and 40% on a sine wave, so I may be able to increase the amplitude.
