Jebao App for WiFi Powerheads - Settings Question

I was playing around a bit with one of my MLW-5 wavemakers yesterday, and I noticed a setting in the app that I hadn't before. Under the "standard wave" setting, there are options for "pulse" and "cross flow". I switched between them a bit, but couldn't really tell any difference in flow. Not visually anyway.

Anyone have any insight?

I just got my first Jebao and noticed this too.
I assumed it was to make a collective of 2 pumps and have them work together but I am following to learn more.

Not to hijack but even at the longest pulse interval it’s still very quick. I was looking for a 3-5 second on/off pulse and can’t get it.

Mine is in an IM Nuvo 10g anemone tank. I settled on the settings above as it seemed the least violent in the tiny little tank. :D

All the BTAs have a nice "wiggle" going without getting pinned down. When I first plugged it in and it came on at 100%, I thought it was going to suck them off the rocks.
 
I wonder why your chart in your screenshot is a straight line while mine is so up and down. Even at 100% it’s still pulsing at 1 second off/1 second on.

Since I'm running mine at 30% (minimum speed for the pump), I'm not getting much (any?) actual pulsing. That probably explains my flat line and your stepped one. Even at 31% you're getting some sort of pulse.

That's why I was wondering about the cross flow setting. Wondering if that would make it stop, then pulse, then stop, then pulse. It didn't seem to, but I didn't mess with it too much.
 
I answered my own question. Cross flow turns the pump off in between pulses. I just had to play with the frequency setting so I could see the pump turn off. That's exactly what I was looking for!

Also, I set mine to 32% and now have a stepped line in the app.

I'm really glad I played around and found that setting. Before I wasn't getting much of any pulse (mostly just a constant on), so I didn't see much use in programming any time periods or anything. Now that I found that setting, I can actually make adjustments for day (lights on, 35/30) and night (lights off, 30/60) that actually do something.

This was already my favorite nano wavemaker, but I like it even more now. :D

I have two MLW 5.
When I turn crossflow and set the frequency at the lowest. They start and stop together while pulsing.
