OK. I just installed my DC-3000. It has only been running about an hour, but so far I am really impressed and happy. Installation was straight forward. I have my returned hard plumbed and the pump has a threaded 1" output which was perfect. Screwed right on. The controller is nice and being able to control the flow without fooling with the valve in my plumbing is very nice. I would say that turned down 1 or 2 notches has it running the equivalent of my Mag 7. The pump is literally silent. For the first few seconds I thought something was wrong because it was so quiet...lol. If it proves reliable, this pump is a steal at less than $100.

I love it too!! 12000
i hard plumb it to my sump/ refugium and 4 feet high to my DT return.
at 4 feet high the flow reduce alots! could my plumbing routing problem!
I have the 12000 and love it

Mine is hard lined also feeding my reactor and I'm around 4feet with mine only at 75% thing is powerful. You may need to look at your plumbing. Here is a few pics of my hard lines.

Eckolancer, is that 1" hard line all the way to DT return?

I just got done watching a movie in my living room where my tank is. I can not believe how quiet this pump. I am officially in love. I am going to see just how quiet I can get this tank and build a durso standpipe tomorrow.

It is 1" hard lined to the back with 3/4 feed lines. There 3 total, 1 for reactor, 1 for main return, 1 for a second reactor (not used right now). If you get a union it screws right into the top of the dc12000.
